Sympatia
For more than a century, Sympatia has been a word and symbol for doing good in Finland.
Through the nationwide Sympatia Ingathering, it has been possible to provide practical help and improve people’s quality of life for decades — in Finland, in many developing countries, across Europe, and in disaster areas around the world.
Aid is delivered by the ADRA Finland Foundation. In Finland, the funds are used for food aid and to support people with limited means. In development cooperation projects, ADRA Finland works together with trusted project partners and the country offices of the international ADRA network. The network has offices in 118 countries and was founded by the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church.
As a small but effective organization, ADRA Finland’s administrative costs are among the lowest in Finland according to organizational comparisons.
The reliability and effectiveness of the organization’s work are demonstrated by external evaluations and audits of its projects.
ADRA Finland helps people regardless of their ethnic background, religion, or political beliefs.
